12-12-12 Relief Concert

So you guys know this is a sham right? We can clear this up fairly quickly..

Only the "Net proceeds" from tonight's concert will be donated. (Net means after paying artists, MSG, advertising, etc.)

The Robin Hood Foundation gets all of these net proceeds.

The Robin Hood foundation does not give any money directly to victims of Sandy. They only give money to OTHER organizations that are suppose to help the victims.

The Robin Hood foundation pays about 3 million to the agency's administration, another 7 million in "other wages" and millions more in office expenses, advertising and the like. (check the 990) .

The organizations that benefit also will have administrative costs and overhead.

So will money get to the victims? Yes, some of it, eventually. Is the marketing of this event deceitful? At the very least.

If you want to help, dive to the effected areas and bring blankets, water and elbow grease.

But you guys knew this. Right?
