TWoL 73: Is That a 3rd Leg or are you Just Happy to be on Terr?

Listen to Episode 73 [audio http://thisweekonlot.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/twol73.mp3]

We managed to run through a lot of news this week in just 30 minutes. Let's get right to it!

As the title eludes to the first rumored 3rd leg Phish date has shown up. Personally TWoL is calling nans on this, it's probably an announcement for ABBA or Garth Brooks.  ; )

If you're heading to Bethel for the Phish shows and need a place to stay we've got good news for you. The city approved camping permits for property owners in Bethel. What this means is that now any piece of land can be used as a "campground" for the weekend. Good news for phans that don't have a place to stay and would like to camp close to the venue.

Speaking of Bethel, as we mentioned last week there are plenty of after-shows going on. For a list of the after shows check out this link.

Continuing on with the Phish news, the 2nd Phamily Poker Classic has been announced. It will be held in Tahoe at Harvey's Casino. This tournament will have  a structure so it finishes up in one day. If TWoL was going to be there you can bet your ass we would entering...and winning!

Switching gears we run through the initial moe. down lineup announcement. Ween, Railroad Earth, and Rubblebucket are a few names to note. More bands will be announced soon, so stay tuned!

The Governors Ball has been announced. If you're looking to get our untz on in NYC then check out this festival. Steve will be there with his flat breezy in full effect.

NYC is keeping it going this summer with the Summer Stage series. Each of the 5 boroughs in NYC will be hosting concerts all summer. There's something for everyone and it's free so you have no excuse!

In random music news Steely Dan has announced a interesting tour. For full details check out this link.

In show reviews this week, Steve saw Railroad Earth at the Wellmont Theater. You can check out our twitter feed from May 7th for the play by play, but we did a recap during this episode. Jackie Greene opened the night with a solid set. RRE brought the energy level up when they hit the stage, especially on the floor. Steve was impressed they played a 2.5 hour set with narry a break, only leaving the stage for about 20 seconds before the encore.

This week we received zero voicemails. This makes TWoL a saaaaaaaaaad panda. Don't forget we can't be everywhere, we count on our listeners to leave us messages and let us know what's going down on a lot near you!

Thank you again to everyone who supports us, we'll see you next week on lot!
